Now Three In The Hole – Where Do We Go?

Tigers Now Three Back
This well could be the key that locks the Tigers out ofthe divisional playoffs and the postseason.

You can’t blame it all on Omar Infante.  You’ve got to give some credit to guys like Alex Rios, who did what everybody would do in a tight race such as this one to close the corners.   His blocking (tripping) slide in the 5th inning with 2 men aboard forced a throwing error by the 2nd baseman and likely tossed the Tigers out of the postseason.

Delmon Young snapped out of his slump with a2-RBI double, but it was not enough.

The pressure is really on now and we can’t let the Royals become the spoilers that end our season.  They are not above that.

A great effort was wasted and Fister takes the loss.

Detroit is 3 games behind Chicago, and likely the best chance will be for a 1-game playoff for the division crown if we get there.  The Tigers will face the Royals 7 more times, the Twins 6 more and a crucial 3 game set with the Oakland Athletics.  The last six regular season games are on the road.

Speaking of the road:

Ann Arbor’s LARGEST TAILGATE PARTY is at CUBS’ AC this weekend as the Wolverines take on Notre Dame.

The Fighting Irish disposed of the Spartans in East Lansing last Saturday night in a game in which we’re sure the fans’ spirits got totally crushed.  This is not going to be like last year’s come-from-behind victory by the Wolverines because we are playing under the gaze of Touchdown Jesus.  What does that mean if you are not going to make the trek down to South Bend?

   TAILGATE PARTY!!

Fair Warning!  BE HERE

So….there are 16 games left to play and the Tigers have to win the AL Central in order to make the postseason because Tampa, Baltimore and New York in the East have better W-L records and the Oakland Athletics and the L.A. Angels are well ahead of us in the American League West.

Meet with us here during our “Dual Happy Hour” – featuring $2 domestic drafts afternoons and evenings – we’ve even got a new cooler stocked with only craft brews Made in Michigan!

 #GoBlue! GoTigers!

If you join us at CUBS’ AC (in the bar that faces the giant car wash) we’ll see if the Tigers can commense on a miracle finish and resume winning to tie the White Sox while the Wolverines are tackling the Irish in South Bend this weekend.  Watch on our big screens while wolfing down a CUBS’ Calzone!
