The Games are On Over the Lanes!
~ How Sweet It Is ~
The Michigan Wolverines faced a previously suspected strong Purdue defense and proved they had more in their tank than just Denard on Saturday – though Robinson did become the all-time rusher for the Wolverines in the record books. And then the Detroit Tigers with master baker & barber Justin Verlander trimmed the hair raising Oakland Athletics in game one of the ALDS to complete a great and sweet day in sports for Ann Arbor and all of SE Michigan.

The Big Ten record books have got Denard Robinson all over the pages, now. He broke all-time conference and school records on Saturday as he collected 340 all purpose yards in a burst of offense that left the big headed “Purdue Pete” in West Lafayette spinning.

Detroit plays the Oakland Athletics in game two of the best of five AL divisional playoff Sunday at Noon (before the Lions game) with Doug Fister taking the mound. The baseball game comes before a possible 3-game trip out west which we hope the Tigers won’t have to make take that long to win the series!
