Wolverines Break Iowa Down 42-17

Hawkeyes Win Streak Ends at 3 ~

Denard Robinson saluted Senior Day by doing everything but throw the ball.

Saturday was Senior Day for the Wolverines in a warm and golden atmosphere in Ann Arbor.  This brought out the Maize ‘n Blue Faithful for the last time to The Big House this season.  This also marked the end of an uncharacteristic win-streak which the Iowa Hawkeyes had held the last 3 years.

Denard Robinson started the game at running back behind Devin Gardner.

With Denard and Devin swapping positions, they combined for an impressive 449 of a total 513 yards of offense. Devin Gardner also accounted for all 6 touchdowns.

Fitz Touissaint appeared to break his leg in the first quarter.

It appeared that Fitzgerald Toussaint broke his leg in the first quarter and he was removed on a motorized stretcher in an air cast.  This was the only blemish on an otherwise pure rout by Michigan.

This day was all about the Seniors on the team.  The team, the team, the team.

The other “perk” was up in East Lansing as the Northwestern Wildcats held off the Spartans from becoming bowl eligible and drops MSU’s season record below .500 for the first time since 2002.
